Welcome!
This site was created for the love of gardening. If you have tell-tale dirt under your fingernails, love to be outdoors and get excited about your "baby" veggies, then we have something in common.
Come on in and sit a spell. Use the "Comments" form to swap garden tips.
Gate with welcome to my garden plaque.
Gate to our garden located in the inland central coast area of California. Average rainfall is 9-12 inches. Summer temps can soar over 100 degrees, but cool as much as 50 degrees the same evening. Winter temps can get into the teens and twenties at night.

Web design is my "real" job.
Gardening is therapy for being a web designer :-)
  • This year's garden involved the whole family to "put in." It was a gift to me for Mother's Day!

  • Our garden uses gravity feed from the 2,200 gallon holding tank via drip tubing and drip tape. This eliminates extra weeding and saves energy (we rely on electricity to pump our water from a 450 foot deep well).
    California electricity is gold :-)

  • The garden is fenced using hot wire to keep rabbits, skunks and deer out.

  • Our Saint Bernard, Shasta, patrols the
    perimeter :-)
